Lyndon Johnson’s “War on Poverty” A Dismal Failure

As I read this while enjoying my morning coffee, I couldn’t help but reflect on the very real destruction progressives have wrought upon the nation. It’s hard to believe that it’s been fifty years since President Johnson declared his War on Poverty, initiating a nightmarish example of progressive folly that has cost Americans at least $4 Trillion dollars, and perhaps as much as $5 Trillion while accomplishing absolutely nothing with respect to people living below the poverty line.
